"Biodiversity worldwide is being lost, and in some areas at an accelerating rate"

"Biodiversity is declining all the time globally, and new ways are needed to halt the loss of biodiversity. There is interest in developing compensations in Finland: the piloting of ecological compensations has been included in the spring 2019 government program."

Supporting Pollinator Populations through Scientifically-Proven Restoration Services

Our unique services are designed to restore meadow and fallow lands to support the most crucial local pollinator populations, all while empowering individuals to take action for the environment.

Assessing Harm and Offering Solutions

We've calculated harm caused by an average consumer to pollinator services and provide easy-to-buy restoration packages. For companies, we assess their impact on biodiversity and suggest suitable enrichment services.

We Enrich, Ensuring Impact

We've pinpointed high-impact zones, securing agreements with habitat owners aligning with our scientifically proven model.

Enrichment with Comprehensive Reports

Upon your decision to enrich, you'll receive a detailed report of your actions, complete with certificates and live-site broadcasts.

How we enrich biodiversity

Our process is simple: we help identify and measure the harm caused by the daily actions, and then provide you with the opportunity to enrich biodiversity, by restoring meadow and fallow lands to support crucial pollinator populations. We cultivate and manage actions for ecological enriching.

We have made reporting and following the impact easy. With our reports, you can easily proof & track the impact of your enrichment. Join us in our mission to protect and enhance biodiversity – currently in Project Paimio.

Current enrichment project, Paimio Finland

Our current pollinator habitat restoration project (3ha) is in Paimio, Finland. Our innovative model is based on valuing the ecosystem services provided mainly by pollinators and creating a sustainable enrichment packages. Our model bring the oppurtunity to make positive impact in biodiversity to comsumers and companies.

Founded in the University of Helsinki

Biodivers is a company rooted in academia, with a team comprising sustainability, forestry, and agriculture experts. We offer accessible enrichment packages and comprehensive consulting services to address biodiversity-related challenges.

biodivers.io SDGs

SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production

  • Why: Our biodiversity credit packages promote responsible land use, ensuring that meadows and fallow lands are restored and not left degraded. This aligns with sustainable consumption and production patterns.
  • How: Through scientifically-proven restoration services, we encourage companies to make eco-friendly choices, resulting in sustainable land use and conservation of resources, thereby supporting the ethos of SDG 12.

SDG 13: Climate Action

  • Why: Healthy ecosystems play a vital role in carbon sequestration, mitigating climate change effects.
  • How: By restoring meadows and fallow lands, we boost the capacity of these lands to act as carbon sinks. The reestablishment of flora, especially in large areas, helps in reducing the overall carbon footprint, thereby contributing to SDG 13's objective of taking urgent actions to combat climate change and its impacts.

SDG 13: Climate Action

  • Why: The main objective of our model directly aligns with SDG 15, emphasizing the need to protect, restore, and promote the sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems.
  • How: Our emphasis on supporting crucial local pollinator populations and restoring lands enhances biodiversity and promotes the health of terrestrial ecosystems. By focusing on the symbiotic relationships within these ecosystems, such as those between plants and pollinators, we are actively working towards halting and reversing land degradation, preventing biodiversity loss, and ensuring a sustainable life on land.
